The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), Qarshi University, organized a Program Assessment Team (AT) meeting on 19th May 2026 at the QU Boardroom to review and evaluate the Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) prepared for academic programs in accordance with HEC quality assurance requirements. The meeting was attended by distinguished external evaluators, academic experts, university leadership, and departmental representatives including Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal Qureshi, Prof. Dr. Bushra Rashid, Prof. Dr. Shaukat Ali, Dr. Asim Tanvir, Dr. Syed Salman Hassan, Dr. Rashid Saif, Dr. Rabbia Pervaiz, Dr. Sibgha Noureen, and Dr. Arab ul Mateen. During the session, detailed deliberations were held on Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), curriculum enhancement, industry linkage, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), AI integration, student support systems, employability, and evidence-based quality assurance practices. The Assessment Team provided valuable recommendations regarding market-oriented curriculum development, industry engagement, bridge programs for academically weak students, ethical and professional development activities, alumni tracking, and improved documentation of measurable outcomes within SARs. The meeting reflected Qarshi University’s continued commitment toward continuous quality improvement, academic excellence, and strengthening institutional quality assurance processes through constructive external review and stakeholder engagement.

QEC Conducts Awareness Session on PREE Guidelines
The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of Qarshi University conducted an awareness session on the Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) Guidelines on 23 April 2026. The session was chaired by the Director, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) and attended by Deans, Chairpersons, and faculty members from various academic departments.

The session aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the PREE framework, highlighting its role in strengthening programme quality through systematic review, evidence-based evaluation, and continuous improvement. Participants were briefed on the objectives of PREE, key implementation procedures, documentation requirements, and best practices for conducting comprehensive programme reviews in alignment with national quality assurance standards.

The Director, QEC emphasized that effective implementation of the PREE framework is instrumental in fostering academic excellence, ensuring outcome-based education, and supporting institutional quality enhancement initiatives.

The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which participants discussed practical aspects of implementing the PREE process within their respective programmes. The session reaffirmed Qarshi University’s commitment to cultivating a robust quality assurance culture and advancing continuous academic excellence through systematic programme evaluation and enhancement.
